i love them both.
here’s a FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC version of thursday covering one of my favorite sigur ros songs… ‘ny batteri’ (which i’m looking super forward to hearing tonight at msg!)
Okay… I like this… but I’m not entirely sure that I see the point… I mean, it’s good, well played, sounds lovely… but I’d rather listen to Sigur Ros doing it.
Normally I’m a cover version junkie, but (and maybe I’m just being a knob here) I don’t see the point of this one. Sigur Ros are soooo distinctive, I don’t actually think I want to hear anyone else doing their songs… it’d be like doing a Mogwai cover… I mean.. why?

i just think it’s cool that someone would even attempt to do a sigur ros cover and do a halfway decent job with it.
the original last night was glorious.
