Confused? Let me explain. If you haven’t already heard, Yoko Ono will be releasing Yes, I’m A Witch in just a few short weeks, via Astralwerks. The album features collaborations with The Flaming Lips, Cat Power, Antony, Spiritualized, Peaches, Hank Shocklee, The Apples in Stereo, The Sleepy Jackson, and Le Tigre just to name a few. I gather the duets are part of her attempt to stay relevant, a la late ’90s Santana (ps YOU’RE SO SMOOOOOTH!)
Last week, we received in our inbox the Peaches/Yoko collaboration. Needless to say, we didn’t share it with you slutloyals because it was just, well, awful. However, today, we got a much nicer duet that we actually think is halfway decent. It’s the duet with Antony entitled ‘Toy Boat’. Antony’s vocals are rather faint and mostly in the background but he compliments Yoko’s roar quite nicely. What do you make of the track?

Now I have another reason to not like Yoko.
Nothing can be as vomit inducing as that rubbish with Peaches…
although this tripe comes close!
Seriously, who on earth would agree to collaborate with Yoko? Surely the Plastic Ono Band would warn everyone away…
maybe i dig it ok b/c it’s antony and b/c the peaches track was SUCH CRAP.
