Morrissey loyals all over the world are trying their darndest this year to get Smiths’ classic ‘Meat Is Murder’ back on the charts for the week of Easter. Take a look at a blurb from the press release/petition below.

If enough people all download the track, we can hopefully get Meat is Murder into the UK charts and played on the radio. It would be wonderful to have Meat Is Murder playing on the radio as people were tucking into their dinner on Easter Sunday! This is a fantastic opportunity to enable more people to hear the track and possibly become committed vegetarians as a result.

The wonderful Chrissie Hynde has said that this record has converted more people to vegetarianism than any other statement… Only download between Monday second and Saturday seventh of April.
