It seems like everywhere I turn somebody is discussing New York 4-piece, Battles and their new full-length entitled Mirrored. And I do mean everybody.

Just a few short weeks ago, The New York Times had a feature on Battles and their one-of-a-kind sound. This past weekend, Battles’ video for Mirrored‘s first single, ‘Atlas’, was added to (MTV’s only decent show) Subterranean’s playlist. Last month, an interview with Battles was featured as the cover piece for XLR8R magazine. ‘Atlas’ was also just recently selected as NME’s ‘single of the week’. This is all in addition to a bevy of blog love.

Mirrored gets its international release today, and has already garnered rave reviews from critics ranging from The Guardian, Bitchfork & Contact Music, alike. For the record, The Music Slut adores it as well.
