The Rapture, RJD2 & Kinky Lend Songs To Adidas

Sportswear giant, Adidas, has joined forces with thirteen musical acts in order to create theme songs for a slew of MLS (Major League Soccer) teams. Many of the tracks chosen are remixes and/or rewrites of the originals, with sports terminology incorporated into the tune. Of the project, The Rapture declares: “We love soccer. We love New York. It makes sense. Anything we can do to help Juan Pablo Angel score more goals.” Their hit ‘Whoo! Alright, Yeah… Uh Huh’, which features the now-famous line ‘People don’t dance no more/They just stand there like this’ has had its lyrics changed for the compilation to: ‘You people can’t score no more / You just stand there like this / You cross your arms and stare around / And whinge and moan and diss!’ YIKES! Full track listing below. Learn more about the partnership here. What are your thoughts on this one?

The Galaxy song is pretty cool, but couldn’t they have at least get a band that actually lives in LA to record it? (No disrespect to Kinky though.)
