One of the strongest and most noteworthy electro acts that I managed to catch during my venture to Austin was Portland-based duo, Yacht. With alternating male-female vocals and a MacBook in tow, the pair delivered a vivacious, fist-pumping set (ending Day 1′s festivities at The Fader Fort). I like to think of Yacht as the West Coast equivalent to Brooklyn’s Free Blood. Deliciously lighthearted, freakishly fun. Learn more about the band at their official site.
