If I fell in lust with The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart during SXSW 2009, then, for sure, I’m fully in love by now. At last night’s Bowery debut, the Brooklyn based quartet ran through the vast majority of their brilliant self-titled LP in a 10 song/40 minute no-fuss fashion. What sets Pains apart from other current buzz bands is the sheer magic within their tunes. Each & every track that they’ve written (in their brief career) is a gem, both musically & lyrically. I just can’t get enough! Last month, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart debuted a clip for ‘Young Adult Friction’. New Yorkers can catch ‘em this summer at South Street Seaport. Visit Pains at their official site.
