Pat Duffy, formerly of Pop Tarts Suck Toasted (RIP), checks in for us! Delorean has it going on right now! This Spanish quartet is taking the music world by storm, dropping crazy good dance pop on every stage they happen to take. Saturday it was the main stage at Pitchfork and these young dudes didn’t seem phased by the size of the stage, the enormous crowd, or the heat in the least. Instead of wilting in the sun, Delorean made things hotter cranking up the volume and getting the folks up front dancing right from the start of their set. Keyboardist Unai Lazcano joined in with the dancing, bouncing around on bare feet that must have felt like walking on hot coals on the hot, black stage. The rest of the band is a little more stationary, but you can still feel the energy pouring from the band and out into the sea of people. With sweat pouring from the band and fans alike, the music continued blaring in the midday sun. It was an excellent set with some of the most innovative sounds being displayed at the fest this year. It’s pretty safe to say that Delorean are a must see band right now, so don’t miss them when they hit the Jelly Pool Parties later this summer! Slutty Pop Tarts Rating: 8.4.
