Das Racist have made a name for themselves by creating a genre of music that simultaneously is pop while being highly critical of popular culture. Their second mixtape of the year, Sit Down, Man, features a cavalcade big-name producers including Diplo, Boi-1da, Dame Grease, Scoop DeVille, Teengirl Fantasy, Devo Springsteen and Chairlift- who also on the mix-tape along with El-P, Roc Marciano and Despot. On Thursday, September 16, the group will be hosting a celebration at Santos Party House in NYC. Maluca, Keepaway and Tecla will be performing along with DJ sets by Chairlift, Amazing Baby, 2dopeboyz and Das Racist. The show is also free, just rsvp to dasracist@yahoo.com.
