Suddenly We Saw

Five years ago, we began this blog with an entry entitled ‘Suddenly We See.’ Back then, we were two music loving students stuck in the music wilderness of St. Andrews, Scotland with the only live shows we had easy access to relegated to whatever the student union chose to book each term. Lucky for us, one of those acts was local girl, KT Tunstall. Together, Skye and I saw her play in the union with only a handful of other people and ever since then, through platinum albums, world-wide tours and Grammy nominations, she has been our wee Fife lass who made good.

KT Tunstall’s new album Tiger Suit will be released on Virgin Records on October 5th. KT is calling the music on the new album, “Nature Techno.” with a blending of organic instrumentation and dance beats. And in support of the album, KT is headed on a North American tour beginning on Halloween in Portland, OR and ending at Terminal 5 in New York City on December 1st.

If you can’t make it out to see her live, KT’s performance on NPR’s World Café program will air on Friday, October 1st, a Yahoo! Maximum Performance will run in early October, and a live session for CBS/Last.FM’s Summer Concert Series will be posted on September 9th here.
