During our enforced absence yesterday, I got myself reacquainted with late 90′s britpoppers Mansun and their 1997 debut LP Attack of the Grey Lantern. And the internet being a repository of all things awesome, I ended up watching the video to single “Taxlo$$”, in which the band decided that rather than using their £25,000 budget to actually, you know, film a video, they’d just throw it onto the concourse at London’s Liverpool Street station and film the ensuing chaos. I think my favourite part is the hapless railway employee caught on camera stuffing fivers in his pocket.

Railtrack were furious, saying passengers could have been injured. But they later admitted they hadn’t had a single complaint.
