Scissor Sisters at Verizon Center, D.C.

God bless the Scissor Sisters for continuing to pump out awesome music after ten years. It was a twinge of saddness that I watched this band whom we have loved for years open for a girl a decade younger than them when it has always been my opinion that they should be selling out arenas. But, finding a wide, American audience for this very British, gay, FABULOUS band, is a tough sell. Not in New York mind you, duh. Or in D.C., where the “D.C. gays” were out in full force for the opening act.

How beefy is Jake looking these days? Damn.

By the way, Virgin Mobile sent me to D.C. to see this show. I can tear Virgin a new one here if I wanted to so trust me, in no way have them influenced how much we love the Scissor Sisters or Lady Gaga.

The band is actually from NYC, not UK.

Ah, just reread what I wrote. It does imply they are from the UK doesn’t it? I meant that their sound is very British pop. Thanks for the catch!
