Tell me, TELL ME, that this video does not seem like a “So long and thanks for all the fish” farewell to us, the long beleaguered Strokes fans, as well as to each other? Or do you see as MTV does, as their reentrance into the world as The Strokes and not a series of side-projects? Let’s hope for the latter. Regardless, the video is gorgeous and exudes the dirty rock, old world, fashionista aesthetic that is The Strokes.
So true…this video/song really takes me into the heart of The Strokes and gives me hope for the “latter” you talked about! I guess we will see on march 22nd when “Angles” comes out and we can hear the whole album. I know I’m pretty pumped!
I’m surprisingly more excited about what the band brings to this song than the vocal lines.
