
Ahead of Bright Eye’s full American tour, he has just announced a mini European jaunt with three UK dates. In addition, new American dates have also been released. Bright Eye’s new album The People’s Key will be released on February 15th in America but all those lovers over in Britain get the album a day early on Valentine’s Day.

On February 15th, Bright Eyes will be releasing their seventh studio album, The People’s Key. In support, they will be going on a US tour, their first in three years. The tour will feature the three permanent members of the band, Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott along with various guests forming a 7-piece band.

This afternoon’s official statement reads: *Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band will release a brand new album on May 5th on Merge Records. The album, titled Outer South, was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in Tornillio, outside El Paso, Texas in November/December and features the same talented group of musicians as were present on last year’s acclaimed Conor Oberst album. Outer South is a spectacular 16 track album featuring songs written by Oberst, Jason Boesel, Nik Freitas, and Taylor Hollingsworth, some of which were part of the live show from late last year including ‘Nikorette’ which they performed on Late Night With Conan O’Brien in November.*
