I know, that headline doesn’t make sense to us either but according to a press release sent to us yesterday, it is true.

According to the release, Deacon will be scoring Coppola’s next film, Twixt Now and Sunrise, which is due out later this year. The “gothic romance” stars Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, Ben Chaplin and Elle Fanning (who is making the Coppola rounds these days, huh?). Apparently as well, we can expect more than just scoring from Deacon, he is also “collaborating on a larger level.”

Deacon also has new music of his own out called So Percussion which he will be premeiring in NYC on Jan. 20th. He will also be performing his new orchestral work Feb 3rd and 4th with the Kitchner-Waterloo Symphony in Kitchner, Ontario. Full tour dates and music stream after the jump.
