It was during CMJ ’07 that I first fell in love with DC.

After completely knocking my socks off during CMJ, Dead Confederate’s atmospheric and passionate tunes have been invading my iPod for the better part of the last few weeks. The 5-member collective is based out of Augusta, Georgia and bares the closest resemblance to a cross-breed of Jesus & The Mary Chain, Jeff Buckley and At The Drive-In that you will (most likely) ever find. A debut full-length (featuring production work by the man behind Radiohead, Muse & My Morning Jacket – John Leckie) is expected by spring of 2008.
