Official word is as follows: *at the two shows in london last month (20th + 21st), some people noticed a lot of cameras busily recording away. we can now confirm that the shows were indeed recorded and pass on a bit more information on this. the shoot was directed by acclaimed director vincent morisset, who also shot the “neon bible” interactive video for arcade fire. the footage is currently being edited in montreal and promises to be a nice contrast to heima, which had a lot of links to context, time and surroundings, whereas this forthcoming concert footage will be purely performance based. as is fairly common in sigur ros land, it will be released when it’s ready and, as such, we don’t have any ideas of release dates…*

Last year, I attended the NYC premiere for Heima.
Part Of The Weekend Never Dies “is a documentary into Radio Soulwax, a touring concept that for the past three years has showcased the talents of four Belgians who themselves programmed and promoted, DJ’d and played live each and every night alongside a revolving array of their friends and some of the most exciting acts in modern music, traveling relentlessly through the four corners of the globe under the banner of Radio Soulwax.”
The film will hit theaters on December 9th.
