Mark Ronson and The Business INTL just premiered their new video for single “Somebody To Love Me” the album Record Collection. The song features the harmonies of Boy George and Andrew Wyatt from Miike Snow along with the song writing skills of Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, Cathy Dennis (Kylie Minogue’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head), Anthony Rossomando of Dirty Pretty Things/Klaxons and Andrew Wyatt again.
The video was directed by Saam Farahmand, using home videos of the Culture Club giving it a double layer of interest. By the way, Boy George is telling reporters that Culture Club will be reuniting in 2012.

While Scissor Sisters’ take a much-needed holiday, Jake Shears has been opening up to any interviewer within a 50 foot radius. Here are some highlighted quotes from Q+As this week.
Regarding marijuana: “I was totally addicted to pot for eight or nine years of my life. When it was something that I did habitually, it started having an adverse reaction. Suddenly when my life started to be filled with more responsibilities it started to be a hindrance. It took a while to figure it out but once I did it was really easy to stop. Every once in a while I’ll smoke some pot and it’s all right. The last time I had some was at the dinner table and I burst into tears. It can either make you laugh really hard or cry your brains out.”
Regarding nudity: “I flash a lot. In the dressing room I’ll just get completely naked. It’s not to shock people. I don’t think nudity is that big a deal.”

This just in from a recent Jake Shears interview, via Contact Music:: “Sometimes you can get so sick of promoting the same album and songs.
We’ve been on the road for a year, which is mad.
When I get on stage I can be so exhausted and want to collapse. Then after the show I want to collapse again.”
Perhaps Jake and the gang should join The Strokes in taking the rest of the year off. Maybe they can all meet for a happy hour cocktail while on break!
