NOVICE THEORY @ ROCKWOOD: SUNSHINE & MISCHIEF

Last night marked my second time experiencing Novice Theory in the flesh (my initial exposure to the Brooklyn based act arrived this autumn via a private event hosted by Obsession Collection Music). It’s particularly difficult to categorize Novice Theory’s sound into one or two sub-genres. Novice Theory (brainchild of Geo Wyeth) intersperses elements of jazz, folk & prog into a beautiful musical whirlwind. Their fifty minute Rockwood Music Hall set pulled my jaw to the ground from start to finish. Undoubtedly exquisite! Official TMS Rating: 10/10. Be certain to visit Novice Theory on MySpace.
