Would you trust him with your pup? Digital Spy reports: *”Pete Doherty has started making plans to open an animal sanctuary near his Wiltshire home, say reports. According to The Daily Star, the Babyshambles singer is a passionate animal lover & wants to use his money to create a sanctuary for rescued & injured pets. The rocker was reportedly inspired after he rescued a 3-legged hedgehog from the roadside, which he has named Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle. “Pete rescued the hedgehog. It had a leg missing & he felt sorry for it,” a source told TDS. “He made sure it got the proper help it needed from a vet & set up a special section for it in his garden. Pete has a big heart. He also loves rats & is looking after one with no tail. He has lots of kittens too & hopes that by the end of the year he’ll be able to open his rescue center to local schools so they can educate children about animals.”*

Potential blockbuster single of ’08?
Or career-ender for both troubled stars?
We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the former!
Say what you will. Gigwise’s got the dirt: *The tabloid’s match made in heaven has become reality with the news that Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse are to record a song with each other. The track called ‘1939 Returning’ was written recently following Doherty’s departure from rehab after a six week stint. Speaking to John Kennedy on XFM Doherty said of his time out of rehab: “To be honest it’s just good to be at liberty again, well fingers crossed. We’re just writing some new songs, actually ’1939 Returning’ is one. I’m going to try and get Miss Winehouse to help me with it hopefully. They’re putting it up on the internet next week I s’pose but I don’t know.”*
I’m speechless. What are your thoughts on this one?
