Last night, Chris Garneau (accompanied by Anna Callner on cello) continued his residency in stunning fashion. Read my review of last week’s gig here. Visit Chris Garneau at his official site. All photos courtesy of Santiago Felipe.

As you may have guessed by now, I rarely miss an opportunity to catch a performance by Chris Garneau. Particularly, when he plays at a venue with a capacity of just over 100. Last night’s set featured a trio of brand new tracks alongside favorites from Music For Tourists & El Radio. Official TMS Rating: 9/10. Be certain to watch Chris Garneau’s official video for ‘Fireflies’ here.

In the middle of a CMJ-filled Saturday, The Music Slut stumbled into The Living Room to catch a special (mostly) acoustic afternoon set by Oh No! Oh My!. Though we only caught a handful of songs, we were instantly drawn to the band.

Equal parts Belle & Sebastian, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Wilco, but with more keyboards. Their songs gave you that warm comforting feeling you kinda need to get though the last day of CMJ. The highlight of their set was surely ‘Walk In The Park’, which you can sample on their MySpace page below. Though we’re kinda over bands with exclamation points in their name, we will give a friendly exception to Oh No! Oh My!
