Today’s MySpace bulletin reads: *We’ve been back home for a couple of weeks now, and have spent some of that time holed up in a cozy London studio, putting the finishing touches to the record. It’s been mostly vocals and (croaky) backing vocals this week – we won’t be putting the strings down now until just before New Year. It’ll be worth the wait though, because the arrangements are now going to be done by him out of Arcade Fire, Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy), which is pretty proper.*

Last month, TRS wowed at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom.
With the ever growing multitude of modern Britpop acts falling under the radar due to sheer unoriginality, it’s reassuring to discover The Rumble Strips. Their three minute pop ditties meld together the best from the worlds of jazz, soul & ska while staying true to their English roots. Their sensational 15 song set ended with a marvelous take on Thin Lizzy’s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’. Visit The Rumble Strips at their official site. MP3 at bottom.
