Official word on the project is as follows: *The Secret Machines are pleased to announce the release of a very special 12 inch of the previously physically unavailable “Dreaming Of Dreaming” b/w the never before released “Daylight, It Won’t Be Long”. Both songs were recorded during the sessions that produced the band’s eagerly anticipated third full-length, Secret Machines. The 12 inch itself, pressed on purple marble vinyl, is limited to 600 copies only. Participating vendors can be found on thinkindie.com. The record can also be purchased on Insound.*

Ten minutes prior to last night’s stunning gig, each & every attendee was given a pair of 3D glasses. It’s not as if I didn’t know what I was in for, I just wasn’t expecting props. Thankfully, the effect of the amplifying shades was indeed magical (and not at all trite). Sauntering through a handful of tracks from each of their three full length releases, The Secret Machines performed a tremendously passionate & unfaltering set. While the entire 85 minute show was downright explosive from start to finish, it was the closing trio of ‘Alone Jealous & Stoned’, ‘Nowhere Again’ & ‘First Wave Intact’ which escalated the evening to ‘epic’ status.
