In his own words: *Change Of Heart is a group of songs that I wrote over the past year alongside Fair Ain’t Fair in an effort to come to terms with a broken heart. The songs on this album are about longing and pain. They are about sorrow and loss. They are about heartache and tenderness. But, most of all they are songs about love. There is a rich history of recordings made in the name of love, and a beautiful tradition of exchanging hearts in the form of music. Change Of Heart is my small contribution to that exchange, and if you can excuse its broken state, my heart is yours.*

When I was little, I once asked my parents why every song was about love. Why couldn’t it be about fun things like ‘Material girl’ (which I actually thought was Cheerio Girl)? My dad replied, “One day, you’ll know why.” Well, I don’t know if I do or not but what I do know is that now, I love a love song, especially rat pack, swing era love songs. As the lone singleton on this site, here is a sampling of some of my favourites, including the original and updated versions of ‘Somethin’ Stupid’ and ‘L-O-V-E.’
Download, enjoy and tell somebody you love them. These go out to my not-so-secret crush.
Frank and Nancy Sinatra – Somethin’ Stupid
Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman – Somethin’ Stupid
Nat King Cole – L-O-V-E
Natalie Cole – L-O-V-E
Dean Martin – ‘That’s Amore’
Dean Martin – ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’
And since it’s so cold outside: Johnny Mercer & Margaret Whiting – ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’
Who is she? Borat?
Sorry, I couldn’t resist posting this blurb!
The 26-year-old has confessed her own music is a turn-off when she is having sex with husband Jordan Bratman. She prefers the melancholic tones of British band Radiohead. Christina explained, “I’d be too busy analyzing my own voice. I get very nitpicky. I like listening to Thom Yorke from Radiohead. That’s good sexy-time music.” (via All Headline News)
I’m at a loss… Happy Valentine’s Day!
MP3s: Thom Yorke – Harrowdown Hill & Christina Aguilera – Candyman
