The Wombats are back, thank goodness. Their brand new single, which would have been perfect for Halloween, is called “Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)” and premiered on BBC Radio1′s Zane Lowe show. Since then, this thumper of a song “has reached the Top 20 in the UK and is The Wombats’ highest charting single to date in Australia, Germany and Holland.” Well done boys.
The single is taken from their forthcoming second album, which will see the light of day in 2011. The album will be a follow-up to their superb The Wombats Proudly Present… A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation. The band will be touring in the UK and Ireland in January.
